About Us

Golden Connection provides premier companionship experiences and group technology training for older adults in the Detroit metro area. We specialize in helping set achievable life goals, providing support to implement their action plans and bridging the technology gap. The company was started because Bernadette Hudgins’ (our founder) father in-law died from loneliness. Her passion for older adults and 20 years of Human Resources has uniquely prepared her to lead this company. She is very gifted at building relationships and helping people reach their full potential. And we are excited to leverage these skills with older adults.

Here at Golden Connection, we believe if you are still on this earth, you have work to do. And our goal is to help you identify and work to fulfill your purpose in which you were created.

We serve clients in the Grosse Pointes,  Huntington Woods, Birmingham, Bingham Farms, Troy, Beverly Hills and Bloomfield Township:

• Older Adults (65 years and above) living independently (at home, senior apartments, retirement community, assisted living etc) in the Metro Detroit area specifically Grosse Pointes, Huntington Woods, Birmingham, Bingham Farms, Troy, Beverly Hills and Bloomfield Township
• Caregivers looking for companionship and/or goal setting support for the older adults in their lives
• For Profit or Non Profit Organizations serving older populations

We help older adults and their caregivers actualize fulfilling lives, with purpose and passion. Golden Connection provides socially and mentally engaging 1:1 experience along with group technology training. Our team believes we are answering a higher calling as we create an inclusive community where all adults feel respected and valued.

We help you feel engaged with the world around you.  Whether it’s identifying what’s next in your life or using technology to catch up with your family members. Through our (non-medical) companionship experiences, you’ll feel connected and satisfied.  We focus our fun activities on supporting you in living a purposeful independent life.

Perhaps you miss your previous career. We’ll help you put together an action plan that will utilize your talents and skills. Maybe you need assistance running your errands. We can keep you company and escort you to the store.  Your daily tasks can be taken care of if you find them overwhelming.  We can help you utilize technology to order groceries online. Together, we’ll utilize your passion, purpose and interest, in creating a customized plan.  Our goal is to provide tools that will help you live a happier day to day existence.
